Rain is good for Studio Tours!

Winter SunriseIt was a banner year for Artists of the Limberlost, 10th anniversary. Cool rainy weather always creates an incentive to get off the dock, but from the crowds who attended this year, it was more than just the weather that brought folks out to Limberlost Road recently.  They wanted to see (and buy) art!  The 19 craftspeople and artists who were here to meet the public, offer their work, and share their stories were kept busy all weekend.

Our display of photo contest entries attracted a lot of attention, and 7 lucky people were winners in our 10th Anniversary Art Draw!  It was an exciting weekend for artists as well as the public.

Draw winners are... Studio 1:  Judy Fountain, Studio 2: Tristan Bullard, Studio 3: Karen Wehrstein, Studio 4: Gloria Murrant, Studio 5: Alison Curcio, Studio 6: Peter Davey, and Studio 7: Fred Tuerke.  Congratulations, all!

The tour is over for this year, but remember that we welcome visits to our studios at other times.  Check individual studio pages on this website for contact information, and call ahead to make arrangements so you aren’t disappointed by a closed studio.

Two of our studios can be visited on the upcoming Muskoka Autumn Studio Tour. Painter Catherine O’Mara and woodturner Brian Markham will be open 10-6 on September 24/25, and October 1/2.  Come out and see them during the fall colours, and if you wish, call to see if other studios will be open too.
