The Billie Bear Lodge Courthouse is the 5th stop on the Artists of the Limberlost Studio Tour. This log building began as a barn, was renovated for recreational use in the 1930s and in 2006, was rehabilitated to earn Billie Bear a Muskoka Heritage Award. Since 1906, Billie Bear Lodge has offered guests a refreshing renewal amidst the water, forest, and rock of Muskoka, providing modern comfort and convenience in an historically rustic setting. Enjoy hiking, complimentary watercraft, and over 800 feet of shoreline on Bella Lake.
In the Billie Bear studio you will find three artists. On the log walls, Barb TenEycke will hang her beautiful landscape paintings. Craig Henshaw will show his hand-forged Damascus knives and he can describe the unique processs of bladesmithing. Juliana Plukasz will display her handmade sterling silver and natural gemstone jewellery.
