Artist Bonnie Bews uses the art form of Hinterglas, a technique that allows the application of charcoal and/or watercolour to glass (developed by Rudolf Schmid/Germany).
Bonnie seeks her inspiration from Muskoka’s natural environment. It energizes her paintings not only with ideas, but also by the way she perceives and applies the paints in soft delicate lines, bold brushstrokes and vibrant colours. Bonnie demonstrates vividly that glass painting is a beautiful and vivacious art form.
