The Billie Bear Lodge Courthouse began as a barn and was renovated for recreational use in the 1930s. In 2006, it was rehabilitated to earn Billie Bear a Muskoka Heritage Award. Since 1906, Billie Bear Lodge has offered guests a refreshing renewal amidst the water, forest, and rock of Muskoka, providing modern comfort and convenience in an historically rustic setting. In previous studio tours, you found three artists. On the log walls, Barb TenEycke hung her beautiful landscape paintings. Craig Henshaw showed his hand-forged Damascus knives and described the unique processs of bladesmithing. Juliana Plukasz displayed her handmade sterling silver and natural gemstone jewellery.
